So, I’m sure some of you have no idea what a Sitter Session is, let me explain…
A sitter session is generally scheduled around 6-9 months old when your baby can sit on their own before they start to crawl or walk.
If you have thought about doing a session around this age, here are 5 reasons why it is an ideal time to do a shoot:
1. Sitting up
Finally, you can place your baby down and they can support themselves. No more placing them in bouncers, or putting out a rug for them to lay on. It’s an exciting time for your baby to do something new and they can be quite pleased with themselves.
2. Are happier around strangers
Around this age, babies are more at ease with strangers. After this age, babies tend to have stages of being fussy with new people, or scared of men or women. They are also easier to connect with and get smiles in return.
3. No playing chase
This is your last chance to have full control of where they sit. They are not interested in getting away anywhere, but more with what you put around them.
4. Personality
They are full of lots of different expressions and show who your baby is. You may have seen how much they have grown and changed since the day they were born.
5. Shorter session
It’s a more predictable time frame for photos as your baby will have a solid routine by this age. You know them well, and can tell when hunger or tiredness strikes.
